Leading 1-0 in the three-match series, India lost the second ODI to South Africa at the St. George’s Park in Gqeherba on Tuesday as the Proteas mounted a comeback. Tony de Zorzi scored an unbeaten 119 off 122 deliveries as South Africa chased down 212 with 45 deliveries to spare and eight wickets in hand. Earlier, led Nandre Burger, the Proteas bowlers were able to restrict India for a below par total. Off his 10 overs, Burger claimed three wickets giving away just 30 runs. Beuran Hendricks and Keshav Maharaj were also among the wickets and claimed two each.
