Corona wave on the wane, eight districts see no new case, 13 report one each
BHOPAL: The number of districts reporting no fresh Covid-19 case climbed to eight in state on Monday. These districts include Vidisha, Katni, Tikamgarh, Guna, Dindori, Khandwa, Alirajpur and Burhanpur. Their active cases are 53, 15, 43, 88, 30, 15, 0 and 9 respectively.
Forty nine districts reported corona cases either 15 or below 15 in Madhya Pradesh. Only in three districts–Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur, the single day count continues to be above 50. Bhopal and Indore are reporting infection cases in rage of 100 to 202.
Thirteen districts reported one 1 corona case each. These districts are Bhind, Agar-Malwa, Ashok Nagar, Niwari, Mandala, Datia, Panna, Chhattarpur, Jhabua, Damoh, Morena, Barwani and Sehore. Their active cases are 21,54,75, 61, 16, 44,18,23,30, 273,133,89 and 119 respectively. The single day count in Sheopur, Mandsaur, Singrauli and Narsingpur stand at 2 each while their active case numbers are 115,139,56 and 57 respectively.
Covid-19 cases are on decline in the state as the positive rate has come down to below 1 per cent. It dropped to 0.7 per cent.
Madhya Pradesh reported 571 new cases in the last 24 hours, the infection caseload has reached 7,85,767, while the number of people who died of the infection stands at 8369. The active cases dropped to 8,860. Around 1,782 patients were discharged on the day.
Around 75,034 samples were sent for testing and 144 samples were rejected.
Indore caseload has climbed to 1,51,772 with the city reporting 202 fresh cases, while Bhopal reported a single day count of 131 tally and tally 1,22,082 . The toll in these two cities is 1358 and 955 respectively. Indore active cases have come down to 1317 and Bhopal active to 2042.
Gwalior and Jabalpur reported 12 and 54 corona cases respectively while their active cases are 280 and 660 respectively.
