IPL 2023: A win will take MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to top of the points table and will also cement their place in the play-offs when they will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team comes into the match with two wins on the bounce and, like always, will be tough to beat at their ‘den’. On a slow pitch, which saw the batters struggle, CSK’s spinners — Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Maheesh Theekshana — have been effective in putting the squeeze on opposition batters as the Delhi team found out on Wednesday.

Ben Stokes is fit for selection but is finding it tough to break into the XI. It is hard to get into the CSK side, especially on the low and slow track of Chepauk. If Stokes come in, Moeen Ali will have to make way for his countryman.

With 159 wickets in 160 games for KKR, Sunil Narine is undoubtedly an IPL legend. But in this season, the Carribean spinner has seemed to lost his mystery and his struggling with his line and length. He has managed only seven wickets in 12 games so far with an inflated economy rate of 8.50. With Indian troika Varun Chakravarthy, Suyash Sharma and Anukul Singh doing well, KKR might add Lockie Ferguson to add some bite in their pace bowling.
