Dharmendra sports bandage on his eye after surgery, says, ‘Abhi bhi bahut dam hai’. Watch | Bollywood News
Veteran actor Dharmendra was spotted with a bandaged eye in Mumbai, on Tuesday. A video of him after an eye procedure was shared a paparazzo and has been going viral on social media. The actor could be seen interacting with the paparazzi talking about how strong he is at this age, after which they wished him a speedy recovery.
In the clip, Dharmendra, 89, spoke to them about his eyes and said, “Abhi bhi bohut damm hai, bohut jaan rakhta hoon. Mere aankh mein graft hua hai. Toh aata hun, hann (I’m still very strong… I underwent an eye graft. I’ll leave now, ok)?” He added, “Love you audience, love you my friends, my fans. I’m strong.” The 89-year-old actor had a white plaster and bandage on his left eye as he was heading to his car.

In the comments section of the video, several fans wished him speedy recovery and expressed concern for Dharmendra. ‘What happened to you, Dharamji? Please take care,” a user wrote. Another comment read, “God bless you. Please take of yourself.”
The actor underwent a medical procedure called eye grafting. It is a corneal transplantation, a surgical procedure that replaces a damaged cornea with healthy tissues to enhance vision and ease pain. Meanwhile, on the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in the 2024 film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
