Bigg Boss 11 evicted contestant Dhinchak Pooja: Hina, Hiten, Shilpa and Priyank are masters of the game
It indeed came as a shocker when host Salman Khan on Sunday announced that young star Dhinchak Pooja aka Pooja Jain has been evicted from the Bigg Boss 11 house. Having being nominated along with Hiten Tejwani, Priyank Sharma, Sapna Chaudhary, Shilpa Shinde, Hina Khan, Benafsha Soonawala, Sabyasachi Sathpathy and Bandgi Kalra, little did the audience expect that Pooja, who entered the house just a couple of weeks back, would soon bid it goodbye. Talking exclusively to indianexpress.com post her eviction, the young girl quipped, “It’s really shocking for me. Neither I nor anyone had expected that I will get evicted. It actually came as a surprise for me. I would have been happy inside but I am fine being out also. It was a short and sweet experience for me. I guess if I had stayed for a long time, it would have got difficult to deal with people.”
From the time Pooja entered the house, she was mocked for her songs. Her lice issue also created quite a stir. The internet sensation speaking on the same said, “It was quite clear that people targetted me when I entered the show. Some thought I was naive and weak and would not fight back. Others just didn’t want me in the game. There were hardly few people who connected with me. But I am used to living alone and it really didn’t matter to me, even when they made fun of me. Arshi Khan and Akash Dadlani were sweet to me and if other housemates also would have wanted to interact with me, I would have been fine.”
This week, the nomination was quite a dramatic one with two housemates asked to mutially nominate either of them. With Pooja and Arshi assigned for it, without a hesitation, the musician decided to nominate herself in a bid to save Arshi. When asked if she regrets the same, “No, I don’t regret any of my decision as Arshi really wanted to stay in the house and I did not want to break her heart. As a friend, I was fine to sacrifice myself.”
While this 24-year-old feels that every contestant is playing a game in their own way, she shared that some are playing it behind a garb. She said, “There are some contestants who really try to be sweet on the face but they are quite a player. People Hina Khan, Hiten Tejwani, Shilpa Shinde and Priyank Sharma are masters of the game. They understand what content will work and act accordingly.”
The Youtube sensation who has hits like “Selfie Maine Le Li Aaj”, “Dilon Ka Shooter”, “Swag Wali Topi” and “Afreen” under her kitty also got a golden chance to compose a viral song in the Bigg Boss house. Talking about the same, Pooja quipped, “I am thankful that Bigg Boss gave me the opportunity. I was upset, hadn’t eaten much and the scenario was really strange. I was even in the jail and I could have said no, but I worked hard only for the housemates’ luxury budget. The celebs were insecure of the perks provided to me although they shouldn’t had as it was just for the task. The song was pretty entertaining and everyone liked it.”
When asked what was the first thing she did post getting out of the house, the young girl smiled to say, “I ate some really nice food and since I hadn’t slept much, I had a good rest. I plan to get out all the negativity first and imbibe some positivity before I head back to work.”
