Disabled people should not consider themselves alone, maternal uncle is with them – Chief Minister Shri Chouhan
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Divyangjans are also strong from the mind. Any part of the body may be weak, but the person should be mentally strong. Divyangjan is not alone, maternal uncle is with him. Service to the disabled and the poor is the service to God. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the distribution program of assistive devices to Divyangjan in Ashta. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan welcomed/greeted the Divyangjan by showering flowers. MP Mr. Mahendra Singh Solanki, MLA Mr. Raghunath Singh Malviya, District Panchayat President Mr. Gopal Singh Engineer, District President Mrs. Deeksha Sonu Gunwan, City Council President Mr. Hemkunwar Rai Singh Mewada, Mr. Ravi Malviya and other public representatives were present.
770 assistive devices distributed to 379 Divyangjan
770 assistive devices were distributed to 379 Divyangjans in the programme. In these, 44 PwDs have been given motorized tricycles, 110 tricycles, 68 wheelchairs, 52 elbow crutches, 279 crutches, 67 working sticks, 4 blind canes, 8 rollators, 12 cellphones, 12 ADL kits, 2 smartphones. CP chairs were distributed to 20 and digital hearing aids to 92 Divyangjans.
