Does he play in IPL at no.6? He plays in top-4: Kamran Akmal bashes Indian management for sending Sanju Samson at No.6 in 1st T20I vs WI | Cricket News

Former Pakan player Rashid Latif slammed the Indian management for sending Sanju Samson at number 6 in the first T20I vs West Indies.
“When I talk about Sanju, does he play in IPL at no.6? He plays in top-4, give him a chance there. If Kohli and Rohit aren’t there, these batsmen should play higher in the order like 4 or 5. If you send him at 6, thinking he played aggressively in last ODI so he can do that again, it does not happen every time,” Akmal said on his YouTube channel.
Akmal also said that he felt that coach Rahul Dravid and Hardik Pandya were overconfident seeing the West Indies’ total.
“When India came for chase, I thought the captain, the coach, the management, they were all overconfident. It felt like they thought, ‘it’s a nothing total’. You have to plan. I didn’t see that. I saw experiments but you need planning with it,” Akmal added.
Meanwhile, India’s most sought after IPL stars will have a reputation to defend and parity to restore when they take on a quality West Indies side in the second T20 International of the five-match series on Sunday.
A boundary was the difference between the two teams in the opening game in Tarouba where West Indies prevailed on a slow batting track with an impressive bowling effort at the back-end.
