Dol Cinema comes to India with a promise of ‘premium cinema experience’ | Technology News

On Sunday, Dol Laboratories announced the launch of Dol Cinema in India. City Pride in Pune, Allu Cineplex in Hyderabad, LA Cinema in Trichy, AMB Cinemas in Bengaluru, EVM Cinemas in Kochi, and G Cineplex in Ulikkal will be the first six auditoriums in the country to offer a “premium cinema-going experience” the end of 2025.
“Indian audiences are passionate about movies, and Dol Cinema is the ultimate moviegoing experience. Since the opening of the first Dol Cinema in 2014, Dol Cinema has grown rapidly, encompassing 35 exhibitor partners and 14 countries. This announcement underscores our commitment to advancing cinematic storytelling, working closely with filmmakers, studios, and exhibitors to deliver extraordinary entertainment experiences,” said Michael Archer, Vice President of Worldwide Cinema Sales and Partner Management, Dol Laboratories.
According to Dol Laboratories, Dol Cinema offers “the opportunity to see and hear stories exactly as the filmmakers intended,” using technologies like Dol Vision, studio-grade Dol Atmos, and optimized seating to deliver a “best seat in the house” experience.

Dol recently collaborated with Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad to set up the country’s first Dol Vision colour grading facility for cinema.
While multiple cinema halls in India are already equipped with Dol Vision and Atmos technologies, a Dol Cinema-certified hall further elevates the movie-watching experience. These auditoriums are designed to ensure that every seat delivers the best possible viewing and audio experience, featuring a curved, wall-to-wall screen for enhanced immersion.
However, this premium experience comes with slightly higher ticket prices compared to regular cinema halls.
