Tripura chief miner Manik Saha on Wednesday returned to his “old workplace” as he performed a dental surgery on a 10-year-old boy at Tripura Medical College, Hapania. Sharing some pictures of the surgery, the chief miner tweeted, “Happy to conduct a surgery for Oral Cystic Lesion of 10-year-old Akshit Ghosh at my old workplace Tripura Medical College.”Before joining mainstream politics, Saha used to teach in the Tripura Medical College.

He was assed Dr Amit Lal Goswami, Dr Puja Debnath, Dr Rudra Prasad Chakrabarty of Dental Surgery and Maxilla Facial Surgery department. Dr Smita Paul, Dr Kanchan Das, Dr Sharmishtha Banik Sen, and Dr Baishali Saha were also part of the medical team.Saha became the chief miner of the north-eastern state in May 2022 after then chief miner Biplab Kumar Deb resigned. Saha joined the BJP in 2016 after quitting the Congress and became the state BJP president in 2020.(With ANI inputs)
