‘Dubai Dress’ made from 10 kg gold, and valued at Rs 11 crore, sets new Guinness World Record | World News

Saudi Arabia-based Al Romaizan Gold and Jewelry Company has set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s heaviest gold dress. The dress, called the ‘Dubai Dress’, is currently on display at the Sharjah Watch and Jewellery Expo pavilion.
The dress, made from pure 21-carat gold weighs a whopping 10.0812 kilograms and is valued at AED 4.6 million (about Rs 11 crore).

Dubai Dress
According to Al Romaizan Gold, the Dubai dress conss of four main features: a golden crown weighing 398 grams, a necklace weighing 8,810.60 grams, earrings weighing 134.1 grams, and the “Hiyar” piece weighing 738.5 grams.
It conss of intricate decorations and precise engravings inlaid with coloured precious stones, making it an artic masterpiece that tells the story of Emirati cultural heritage in the language of gold and jewels.
The jeweller said their designers drew inspiration for “Dubai Dress” from authentic Emirati heritage, where the piece reflects the essence of hory and the authenticity of Emirati civilisation with a refined contemporary touch.
“This work reflects the UAE’s ambition to achieve global leadership and highlights Dubai’s position as the premier destination for gold and jewellery enthusiasts, while embodying the signature and unique creativity of Emirati craftsmen,” Mohsen Al Dhaibani, Regional Deputy Manager of Al Romaizan Gold told Gulf News.
Sharjah Watch and Jewellery Expo
Other attractions at the 56th edition of the five-day Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show include a golden bicycle, estimated to be worth AED 1.5 million.
The exhibition also features over 500 local and international exhibitors, from Italy, India, Türkiye, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, as well as more than 1,800 designers, manufacturers, and industry professionals.
