Astronomer HR chief Krin Cabot resigns after Coldplay ‘kiss cam’ incident

Days after Astronomer CEO Andy ron resigned from his position at the tech startup, the company’s HR chief Krin Cabot also stepped down from her post following a controversy stemming from a video of the pair on a ‘kiss cam’ at a Coldplay concert.
“Krin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer, she has resigned,” a company spokesperson told CNBC on Thursday. Cabot was the Chief People Officer at Astronomer.
Andy ron resigned from his position at Astronomer last week after the company said in its official statement that the CEO would be placed on leave during an internal investigation into the matter. The two immediately hid their faces, with ron jumping off camera when they saw themselves on the big screen. Coldplay front man Chris Martin jokingly said, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
The video of the incident was posted on social media an attendee, and went viral, with over 100 million views.
Astronomer soon announced an internal investigation and said that the CEO of the company would be placed on leave till the probe concludes. Days later, the company posted a statement saying ron has resigned.
“Andy ron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO,” the company said in a statement.Story continues below this ad
