President Kovind arrives in Bhopal

BHOPAL: President Ram Nath Kovind will be coming to the state capital on Friday. This will be his first visit to MP after assuming office as President.
On Friday, President Kovind will reach Bhopal at 2pm from New Delhi. Thereafter, he will reach Lal Parade ground to address Kabir Pragatotsava as chief guest. The President will also pay tributes at the statue of Rani Jhalkaribai at Guru Teg Bahadur Complex in TT Nagar at 3.55 pm.
After a brief stay, President Kovind will go to Raj Bhavan where Governor OP Kohli will host a dinner his honour at 8 pm. On November 11, President will go to Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) helipad at Amarkantak at 10.45 am.
From there he will proceed to Narmada temple and later to IGNTU at 11.55 am to take part in the second convocation ceremony. He will then fy to Raipur. Thereafter, he will proceed to New Delhi at 3.25 pm, stated an official communique. In view of President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Bhopal, police have made special traffic arrangements.
After 11am, traffic movement from Indore to Bhopal will be stopped. All the interstate buses of IndoreSagar and Hoshangabad will be diverted to Khajuri Bypass – Bhauri-Parvalia – Gandhi Nagar – Bhanpur – Ratnagiri – ITI trisection – Prabhat square. After the President arrives at 2pm, the traffic movement at VIP road, Lalghati square, Narsinghgarh trisection and Gandhi Nagar will be closed for 10 minutes prior to his arrival.
