Elon Musk and the ba legion: What’s the billionaire’s plan to repopulate earth? | World News

Elon Musk isn’t just aiming for Mars—he’s apparently assembling his own earthly empire, one ba at a time. According to a new report The Wall Street Journal, the billionaire tech mogul has been actively working to build a “legion” of children, using his social media platform X to scout potential mothers and even suggesting the use of surrogates to speed things up.The unconventional family-building quest has reportedly led to what one woman called “harem drama,” with Musk allegedly managing the mothers of his children through financial offers and tight-lipped confidentiality agreements.
Ashley St Clair, a 26-year-old influencer who gave birth to Musk’s 13th child in September, shared that Musk often messaged her about his desire for a large family. In one message, he reportedly wrote, “I want to knock you up again,” and suggested using surrogates to “reach legion-level before the apocalypse.”

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and current head of the Department of Government Efficiency under President Donald Trump, has fathered at least 14 children with four known women: St Clair, musician Grimes, Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, and his ex-wife Justine Musk. However, reports quoting sources close to Musk believe the actual number could be higher.
The report also claims Musk once provided sperm to a high-profile Japanese woman after being approached Japanese officials. Among the women connected to Musk, Zilis is said to have “special status,” having accompanied him to high-level meetings including one with Prime Miner Narendra Modi and a pre-inauguration dinner with world leaders and tech elites.
St Clair said she was offered $15 million and $100,000 a month in support—on the condition she kept Musk’s name off the birth certificate and didn’t reveal he was the father. The offer reportedly came from Musk’s close aide Jared Birchall as she was going into labour. While she didn’t agree to the secrecy, she still left Musk’s name off the official documents. After she went public with the relationship in February, she claimed the monthly support was cut to $40,000, and later to $20,000.Story continues below this ad
Musk has reportedly contacted other women as well, including crypto influencer Tiffany Fong, offering to have children with them. After Fong made the messages public, Musk allegedly unfollowed her.
Several women, including St Clair, say Musk’s team keeps tight control using money and strict confidentiality agreements. Birchall, who manages Musk’s personal matters, has referred to the inner circle as a “meritocracy,” where benefits are handed out “when people do good work.”
Musk’s motivation appears to be rooted in his deep concern over falling birthrates. He has repeatedly warned that “civilisation is going to crumble” without population growth and believes that intelligent people should have more children to help secure the future of humanity.Story continues below this ad
The WSJ report adds that much of Musk’s personal life is insulated legal and financial structures. Grimes, who has three children with Musk, has spoken out about the toll of their custody dispute, saying it left her financially drained. In February, she took to X to publicly reach out to Musk during a medical emergency involving one of their children.
With an estimated net worth of $367.9 billion, Musk is currently the richest person in the world, according to Forbes—and possibly the most determined to repopulate it.
