Dhurandhar is now the second most successful Hindi film of the year after Chhaava. Vicky Kaushal-starrer made a little over Rs 600 crore at the box office upon its release earlier this year and while Dhurandhar is still Rs 189 crore away from that, it appears that the film might be able to achieve it in the next few weeks. Dhurandhar will face some fierce competition against James Cameron’s Avatar Fire and Ash this weekend as the film is getting a massive release in India. In India, Avatar The Way of Water collected Rs 391 crore at the box office, which is quite significant given the film was released in multiple languages in India.
After Avatar Fire and Ash, Dhurandhar could face some competition from Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. While the genre of the film is completely different from Dhurandhar, the films could find themselves competing for screens. Dinesh Vijan’s Ikkis, which was also scheduled to release in December, has now been pushed to January.
Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun. The film’s sequel has already been shot and will be released on March 19, 2026, and will clash against Yash-starrer Toxic.
