Emmy Awards 2025: When and where to watch the event in India, nominations and host | Hollywood News

Television’s biggest night is here. The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California. For Indian audiences, the live broadcast can be watched on JioHotstar at 5.30 am on September 15.
For viewers in the United States, the ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
Comedian Nate Bargatze will be hosting the evening, joined co-hosts Sydney Sweeney, Jenna Ortega, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, and Mariska Hargitay. This ensures a perfect blend of veterans and new-age actors, promising to lend the evening both fun and freshness. The Television Academy has also announced a lineup of celebrated presenters, including Sweeney, Ortega, Elizabeth Banks, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Williams, Kren Bell, Jason Bateman, Colbert, Fey, and Hargitay.

Emmy nominations
The Emmy nominations were revealed on July 15, 2025, and this year is dominated Apple TV+. Its hit series Severance leads with the maximum Emmy nominations — 27. Meanwhile, another Apple TV+ show, The Studio, led the comedy category with 23 nominations. The Studio co-creator Seth Rogen personally earned three nominations — for acting, writing, and directing. Acclaimed series The White Lotus also received 23 nominations.

In the limited series category, HBO’s The Penguin, a spinoff from the Batman universe, scored 24 nominations. Established favourites like Hacks and The Bear secured 12 and 13 nominations respectively.Story continues below this ad
Netflix’s Adolescence, one of the most talked-about shows of the year, earned 13 nominations. Among its recognitions is a nomination in the supporting actor category for 15-year-old Owen Cooper, who played a 13-year-old suspected of murder in the series.
The Emmy Awards continue to be recognised as one of the highest honours in the television industry.
