Everyone is available except for Bumrah: Mahela Jayawardene gives injury update | Ipl News

Mumbai Indians Head Coach Mahela Jayawardene ahead of the clash against Gujarat Titans would give an update on Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness. While he would also confirm that except for Bumrah all the other players in the squad are good to go for the game in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
“Everyone is available except for Bumrah. Like I said in my last interview as well, it’s on a daily basis that he’s going through his program. “So far, everything seems okay. But there were no timelines given NCA, so we’ll wait on that,” said Jayawardene.
“We’ve got a very experienced bowling attack. I think we have to segregate the venues. I think we’ve got enough experience to understand how it works. Like I said, each venue, and each opposition throws us different challenges and that’s something that we will focus on,” Jayawardene would say.

“So as long as we understand that, then that is how we plan and structure things. And once we get to that venue, once we see that opposition, that’s when our plans come into play,” he explained.
Hardik returns
Suryakumar Yadav has led Mumbai Indians in their opening game against Chennai Super Kings. Which MI lost. Hardik Pandya will return for the next game as the leader.
After MI’s group-stage exit last year, Pandya was banned for the slow-over rate offence against the Lucknow Super Giants during the team’s last outing. It was the third time in 14 games where MI had failed to maintain the over-rates, resulting in the skipper’s ban, an INR 30 lakh match fee fine and the rest of the playing XII, including the Impact Player, were either fined Rs 12 lakh of 50 percent of their match fees.
