After the announcement of a campaign for prohibition, former Chief Minster and BJP leader Uma Bharti was seen vandalising a liquor shop by throwing a stone. The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader has been demanding prohibition in the state and had announced that she would launch a protest outside liquor shops.
In a video posted on Sunday by Uma Bharti in Facebook clearly shows her intensity of her mission for prohibition in the state. In the video, she is seen walking into a liquor shop in Barkhera Pathani Azad Nagar area of BHEL and after entering the shop she threws a stone at the shelf displaying liquor bottles.
In the post, she referred to the area as a residential settlement with schools, temples and workers accommodation. She alleged that women in the nearby colonies could barely stand outside their homes due to the disturbances created by the drunkards who are served liquor at the attached premises, referred to as ‘Ahata’.
The post further says that the worker’s hard earned saving are spent in these shops . The residents and women here raised objections, staged dharna in protest because this shop is against the government policy. The administration assured to close the shop every time, but it has not been done for many years.
She ends the post with a warning to the administration to close the shop and the Ahata within a week.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Bharatiya Janata Party Madhya Pradesh have been tagged in the post.
