Farah Khan reveals she ‘didn’t want to step out’ after ‘Tees Maar Khan’ failure

Bollywood choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan recently revealed that she didn’t want to step out after the failure of her film ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

In an interview with ETimes, Farah recalled how the film, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, was ‘ripped’ apart.

The filmmaker said that she has been a ‘fighter’ and a ‘survivor’ and even though people said a lot of things about it, the film made money.

Farah also stated that after ‘Tees Maar Khan’, she didn’t want to step out, even though she was winning an award for the choreography of ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’. She added that her mother-in-law encouraged her to go for it.

“Through time and the ups and downs, I grew older and wiser, and had kids. Everything changed with time. Today, I’ve realised that whatever is yours will come to you. I’m not insecure anymore. I used to be that person, and I hate that feeling today. Of course, as human nature would have it, a lot of times, people get happy when someone’s film doesn’t do well; it’s an industry trait and uska kya kar sakte hain. Today, I know that my movie will be made whenever and with whoever it’s destined to,” she added.

Farah has been a part of the film industry for 30 years. She made her directorial debut in 2004 with Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao and Suniel Shetty’s film ‘Main Hoon Na’. Her last-directed film was ‘Happy New Year’.

She was recently seen in ‘Dance Deewane Juniors.’
