Farah Khan’s cook Dilip demands money to act in Khichdi 3, surprised Farah asks, ‘You’re getting a big film and still want money?’ | Bollywood News
Many scrumptious dishes have been made Farah Khan and her guests on her YouTube channel. But in her latest vlog, which also celebrated her one-year journey on YouTube, it was all about the simple, uncomplicated, and hilarious Khichdi. No, we aren’t talking about the dish khichdi, but the cast of the show and film series ‘Khichdi.’
The vlog saw the Khichdi cast — including Anang Desai, Supriya Pathak, Vandana Pathak, Jamnadas Majethia, and the show’s writer and director Aatish Kapadia — come together and participate in a khichdi-making contest that had the audience in splits.
Supriya Pathak, who played the character Hansa on the show, recreated some of her iconic dialogues like “Main toh thak gayi bhaisaab!”, “Hello. How are? Khana kha ke jaana,” and others. Farah and her cook Dilip also kept the mood light as they cracked funny jokes. For instance, Farah asked Dilip to make a ‘fruit chaat’ but he instead bought a ‘fruit chart.’

However, Farah exclaimed, “Main pagal ho rahi hoon (I am going mad),” after the cast members cracked a string of ridiculous jokes. For instance, Jamnadas Majethia said, “A for papad.” When asked to explain, he said, “I was talking about aam papad.” Aatish cracked another joke, “Aloo ko agar grate karte ho toh woh great ho jata hai (If you grate a potato, it becomes great).” Following their jokes, Dilip told Farah, “Madam chalo, yeh humse bhi zyada pagal log hain (Let’s go, they’re crazier than us).”
However, the best part of the vlog came when Jamnadas Majethia announced that Khichdi: The Film will return with its third part. He said, “I want to announce on your channel that Khichdi Part 3 will come in the year 2027, which will also mark 25 years of Khichdi.” When Farah asked if there would be a role for her, he said, “Bilkul hoga aapka role (Of course, there will be a role for you).” For the unversed, Farah had cameo appearances in both previous films — Khichdi and Khichdi 2.
Jamnadas also shared that the team is trying to re-release Khichdi: The Movie in theatres on May 4, 2025, on the occasion of World Laughter Day.
When the Khichdi team asked Dilip if he would work in the film, he responded, “Paisa denge toh karunga (I’ll do it if you pay me).” Farah countered in Hindi, “You want money also? You’re getting to work in such a big film.” To which Dilip replied, “I’m also taking money from you.”Story continues below this ad
Later, while the Khichdi team tried to bribe Farah to make them the winner of the contest, Farah eventually announced Supriya Pathak’s masala khichdi as the winner.
