Former US attorney, Jessica Aber, who was appointed ex-US President Joe Biden was found dead on Saturday morning at her home in Alexandria, Virginia, police said.
According to the Alexandria Police Department, police were called at around 9:18am after reports of an unresponsive woman emerged and the police identified the woman as Jessica Aber.
According to an NBC News report, the police said that the medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death while the authorities ruled out to characterize the death as suspicious or not.

“As a matter of protocol, an investigation is underway surrounding the circumstances of her death,” Alexandria police said.

Jessica Aber resigned from the post of US Attorney for the Eastern Drict of Virginia on January 20 as soon as the US President Donald Trump took oath of office for his second term after defeating the erstwhile Vice President Kamala Harris.
Aber was appointed as US federal prosecutor on August 10, 2021 former President Biden, and the appointment was then confirmed the Senate.
In a statement, Erik Siebert, the current US Attorney for the Eastern Drict of Virginia said that he was “heartbroken” and “beyond words” after he heard the news of Jessica Aber.
“She was unmatched as a leader, mentor, and prosecutor, and she is simply irreplaceable as a human being. We remain in awe of how much she accomplished in her all too brief time in this world,” Erik said about Aber.Story continues below this ad
Aber, during her departure from the US attorney’s office in January, had said that working to restore trust in law enforcement had been a priority of her tenure.
