Former US president Joe Biden diagnosed with ‘aggressive form’ of prostate cancer | World News

Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his office confirmed in a statement released on Sunday.
The statement said Mr Biden, who left office in January, has “an aggressive form of cancer.”
The statement explained, “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

It added that the cancer “appears to be hormone-sensitive,” which could help doctors manage the illness more effectively.
Mr Biden and his family are currently discussing treatment options with his medical team.
