From Ariana Grande and Blackpink’s Lisa’s standout looks to Halle Berry-Adrien Brody recreating their controversial kiss

Yet another edition of the Academy Awards is here, bringing together the biggest names in the entertainment industry. While the ceremony itself is the centrepiece, the red carpet is just as much of a spectacle, captivating audiences worldwide as celebrities and styls showcase their fashion A-game. From Blackpink’s Lisa to Timothee Chalamet, from Ariana Grande to Zoe Saldana, Hollywood’s biggest names walked the impressive 900 feet carpet to cheers and applause. The red carpet show had the extremely funny Amelia Dimoldenberg doing what she does best with the celebrities who were equal parts candid, brave, and entertaining to have an interaction with the witty anchor before the biggest awards of the year.
We had Wicked stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo dressed in polar opposite shades, but equally grand, and wonderfully elevated fashion sense. There was Emelia Perez star Zoe Saldana, dressed in a layered burgundy dress, hoping to win the nod for Best Supporting Actress. We had Blackpink’s Lisa rock the event with a suit in her debut appearance at the Oscars.

This awards season has seen a surge in metallics, sparkling sequins and structural pieces, according to celebrity styl Alexandra Mandelkorn. In a recent interview with Reuters, Mandelkorn — who is styling The Marvelous Mrs Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan and Wicked actor Marissa Bode for Oscar parties — highlighted a growing preference for bold, sculptural designs. “The trend that I’ve been seeing that is a little different than just colours or textures is these really sculptural dresses. Like really interesting kind of sculptural necklines and just the things that feel a little bit more avant-garde than your normal gown,” she noted.
While the Academy Awards are always a highly anticipated occasion, this year’s ceremony carries particular significance as it follows the 2025 Southern California wildfires, which left a devastating impact on the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County.
