Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami fairytale entered a star studded chapter on Sunday night in Los Angeles, as the Argentine produced two asss to lead his MLS club to a 3-1 win against LA Galaxy.
The 36-year-old, who has 11 goals in 11 games to his names, has had instant impact for his new club since playing his first game in July. Miami have only lost once in the 11 games Messi has played for them his latest outing featured the who’s who of the Hollywood town in the stands.

A l of notable attendees from the LA Football Club that was shared on the social media featured Leonardo DiCaprio, Selena Gomez, Prince Harry, LeBron James, Tobey Maguire, Will Ferrell, Gerard Buttler, Jason Sudeikis, and James Harden among those who attended the game.

Among those who got to meet the Miami skipper were Hollywood actor Owen Wilson and Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini, who had moved to LA Galaxy last year.Most Read

On pitch, Messi helped Miami add their two goals in the second half after Facundo Farias put them in the lead in the first 45. The Barcelona trio came into play in the 51st minute as Messi received the ball from Busquets and teed up Alba inside the box.

The third goal was a counter attack after LA, who had pushed their numbers forward in search of a goal, lost the ball the midfield line and Messi bursted into the final third before setting up Leonardo Campagna.
“It was a test to see where we stand. It is an important consequence of what is to come, the group is growing more and more every day.” Messi said post-match.
Inter Miami currently sit 14th in the Eastern Conference points table with 25 points in 25 games.
