This is the second instance where a GT bowler has won the Purple Cap. Earlier, Mohammed Shami picked 28 wickets in 17 matches to win the Purple Cap in 2023. GT did the double in both the most run-getters l and the highest wicket-takers l. Apart from Krishna’s Purple Cap, GT opener Sai Sudharan scored 759 runs to win the Orange Cap.
