Govinda says ‘I am fine’ after losing consciousness; Sunita Ahuja rushes back to Mumbai from outstation wedding | Bollywood News

Actor Govinda was admitted to a hospital in suburban Juhu late on Tuesday night after he experienced disorientation and briefly lost consciousness at home. The 61-year-old actor is now stable and undergoing tests at the CritiCare hospital. He shared a voice message with ANI, “Thank you so much… I am fine.” While his daughter Tina Ahuja was his side, his wife Sunita Ahuja was out of town, but is now rushing back to be him in the hospital.
After spending the night in the emergency ward, Govinda has now been shifted to a room. “Several tests have been done. Now, all his reports are awaited. He is under constant observation. Govinda is resting at the moment. There is no word on discharge yet as the doctors are waiting for the reports’ result to come and then will decide a further course of action. I spoke to Govinda in the morning, and he told me that he is feeling better,” said Lalit Bindal to Hindustan Times, the actor’s friend and legal advisor.
He also gave an update on the family’s whereabouts. Earlier in the day, Govinda’s manager Sashi Shinde had told SCREEN, “He felt a little dizzy and then his head got heavy, so we got him admitted to get checked a neurolog. They are checking him. Sir is feeling better better. He is resting. There’s nothing to worry about. We just wanted to be sure why he felt dizzy. Since it’s neurological, the doctor advised him to get admitted. His daughter Tina is with him, others were out.”

Now, Bindal has claimed that while both Sunita and Tina were out of town when Govinda was admitted, they’ve now made their way back to be his side. “Sunita was not in town and had gone for a wedding. She came to Mumbai late at night, and is coming to the hospital now. Meanwhile, his daughter Tina was in Chandigarh for some work. She is also on her way back, and will be with Goivinda the evening.”

Bindal also revealed that Govinda had been feeling week and disoriented since Tuesday afternoon. Once he fell unconscious, he got in touch with his family doctor who asked him to take a medicine. “Govinda took the medicine around 8:30-9:00 pm, and then went to rest in his room. Then, achanak se (suddenly), he again felt uneasy, disoriented, weak and felt suffocated around 12 in the night. Following which, Govinda called me home. I reached his home at 12:15 am and after the advice from his doctor, took him to the hospital. We took him to the emergency ward where his vitals were checked and he was admitted. He was admitted around 1 am,” added Bindal.

Govinda was admitted to the hospital hours after he visited ailing veteran actor Dharmendra at the Breach Candy hospital. In October last year, Govinda was rushed to CritiCare hospital after his licensed revolver allegedly misfired, resulting in a bullet wound to his knee. He was discharged three days later.
