Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, attended an awards ceremony in Mumbai on Thursday evening. She was accompanied her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, but Govinda was nowhere to be seen. The actor’s absence made the paparazzi curious, and they didn’t seem to mind asking Sunita. The couple has been going through a rough patch in recent months, with Sunita’s lawyer confirming that they contemplated divorce. In several interviews, Sunita also implied that they had been living separately, but she later clarified her statements.
Sunita Ahuja and Yashvardhan Ahuja made a stylish appearance at Pinkvilla Screen & Style Icons Awards. While they posed for the paparazzi, Sunita had a fun interaction with them.

When someone from the media asked Sunita, “Govinda sir kahan hai (Where is Govinda?),” she reacted with a shocked, “What!” But she diffused the tension with a laugh. When another photographer said that Govinda might be fashionably late, Sunita replied, “Last but not the least.”

Actor Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in March 1987 and have a daughter, Tina, and son, Yashvardhan. The couple’s marriage has been the subject of gossip lately and thus the actor’s absence was questioned.
About a month ago, a few media reports had it that Govinda and Sunita were considering separation due to constant disagreements and differences in lifestyle. However, addressing these rumours, Sunita clarified to media earlier, “Alag-alag rehte hain matlab jab unhone politics join kiya tha tab meri beti jawaan ho rahi thi, toh saare karyakarta ghar par aate the. Ab jawaan beti hai, hum hain, hum shorts pehen ke ghar mein ghoomte hain, toh isliye humne saamne office le liya tha. Humko, mujhe aur Govinda ko is duniya mein agar koi alag kar de, kisi ka mai ka laal toh saamne aa jaye (We live separately, which means when he joined politics, my daughter was becoming young, and all the workers used to come to our house. Now my daughter is young, I am there, I roam around the house wearing shorts, so that is why I had taken office in front of me. If someone separates us, me and Govinda in this world, then someone’s mother’s curse will come to the fore).”
