Govt will safeguard interests of Tribal artists, says Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that singing, playing musical instruments and dancing have been a part of life since the time of human existence and creation. These arts also teach to live. Make your living and the existence of others meaningful.

The Madhya Pradesh Government will give full protection and encouragement to the tribal artists of Madhya Pradesh. Chouhan was addressing the artists today who gave splendid performance of folk dances on Janjatiya Gourav Diwas during the visit of Prime Minister Modi. Chouhan had invited these artists to the Chief Minister’s residence for refreshment.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi searched the talented tribal artists of the country and gave them prestigious awards like Padma Shri. The folk-dance artists are really talented. Folk dance is a powerful medium to express joy.

Chouhan said that on the upcoming foundation day of the state, outstanding artists of tribal class would be decorated with special honors. There has been large-scale participation of the tribal class in the Janjatiya Gourav Diwas program of Bhopal. The event was a momentous occasion aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of the tribal people. The state government will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of these sections. Chouhan said that an incentive amount of five thousand rupees each would be provided to the tribal artists who came to Bhopal.

Tribal leader Kal Singh Bhabar, Padmashri Bhuri Bai and Gond painter Bhajju Singh Shyam, Culture Minister Sushri Usha Thakur, Principal Secretary Culture, Public Relations and Tourism Sheo Shekhar Shukla were present on the stage along with Chouhan. Chouhan also honored the choreographer of folk dance performances Kavita Nair and her group members in the program of Janjatiya Gourav Diwas. Several artists took selfies with Chouhan and also participated in group photographs.
