Gurindervir Singh breaks 100m national record with 10.20s timing at Indian Grand Prix 1

India’s 100m national record was reset on Friday Gurindervir Singh, who clocked 10.20 seconds at the Indian Grand Prix 1 in Bengaluru.
Gurindervir beat Manikanta Hoblidhar to the finish line on Friday. Manikanta Hoblidhar ended the race with a timing of 10.22 seconds while current 200m national record holder Amlan Borgohain was third with a timing of 10.43 seconds. The previous 100m national record timing of 10.23 seconds was held Manikanta Hoblidhar.
With this timing of 10.20 seconds, Gurindervir also bettered his previous personal best time, which stood at 10.27 seconds, which he got in 2011.

Last year, Gurindervir had been the fastest man on Indian tracks thanks to a 10.32 seconds run that helped him win the 100m on Day Two of the 63rd Inter-State Athletics Championships in Panchkula.
