Hands-off protesters rally against President Trump, Musk in cities across US | World News
Millions of people protested in multiple cities across the United States on Saturday against the way President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk are running the country, in what is being described as the biggest day of demonstrations yet an opposition movement since Trump took office in January.
The Hands Off! Protests were organized at more than 1,200 locations, including in all 50 US states. Mass-action protests took place at state capitols, federal buildings, congressional offices, Social Security’s headquarters and crowds of protesters gathered in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC, among other cities, on Saturday.
The liberal protesters had issues with Trump’s policies ranging from social to economic agenda. A flyer at the protest site stated, “Whether you are mobilized the attacks on our democracy, the slashing of jobs, the invasion of privacy, or the assault on our services – this moment is for you. We are setting out to build a massive, visible, national rejection of this crisis.”

The Hands Off! Protests were organized more than 150 groups including civil rights organizations, labour unions, LBGTQ+ advocates, veterans and elections activs, the Associated Press reported.
According to Indivisible, an organization which is part of the protests against Trump and Musk, more than 600,000 people had signed up to attend the protest rallies in London and Paris. The actions of Trump and Musk which are at the centre remains downsizing of government force via DOGE, economy, immigration and human rights.
The organizers of The Hands Off! protests have put forward three demands: end of billionaire takeover and corruption in the Trump adminration, revoking the cutting of funds for Medicaid, Social Security and other programs on which people rely, and halt the attacks on trans people, immigrants and other communities.
