Kishore Kumar was a ‘master’ of all trades — be it his deep voice that could bring life to any set of music and lyrics, his antics while recording for those songs, or his onscreen presence that gave him the epithet of an actor, who could do comedy. Apart from being an excellent singer, the multifaceted Kishore da boasted of many other talents such as composing, lyricist, acting, direction, production and scriptwriter.
The singer and the legendary yoddler, in his illustrious career, became synonymous with songs that have transcended generations of music lovers and have, till date, continued to enthrall the masses. Songs like ‘Khaiyke Paan Benaras Wala’, ‘Iss Mod Se Jaatey Hain’, ‘Yeh Shaam Mastani’, and ‘Tum Aa Gaye Ho’ among others showed his prowess as a singer, as a singer who hadn’t taken any professional training in classical music.

Kishore Kumar, along with R D Burman, formed a formidable team which ensured a chartbuster whenever they came together. This duo has given some of the best and most melodious tracks to acting legends like Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan.
