Haq box office collection Day 2: The Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam starrer Haq is gaining momentum at the Indian box office. The film opened at Rs 1.75 crore on Day 1 and witnessed a strong jump of 91.43% on Day 2, collecting Rs 3.35 crore. With this, the film’s total box office collection now stands at Rs 5.10 crore.
Haq recorded an overall occupancy rate of 19.35%. The morning and afternoon shows saw occupancies of 7.66% and 17.46%, respectively, while the evening and night shows performed stronger with 23.71% and 28.57%.
Haq is inspired the 1985 Shah Bano case. The case began with a 62-year-old Muslim woman’s plea for maintenance from her husband after their divorce, sparking a national debate on secularism, minority rights and the need for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

The film opened to positive reviews on Friday. An excerpt from SCREEN’s review of the film read, “Haq does what it sets out to do with clear-eyed empathy, giving us an ordinary woman who found extraordinary strength and resilience to fight for her cause, and created, without ever quite realising it, hory.”
Reacting to the positive response to Haq, Yami Gautam took to X to share her appreciation, “A well-intended film finds its audience eventually & vice-versa. Grateful.”
Haq is directed Suparn S Varma and produced Junglee Pictures, Insomnia Films, and Baweja Studios. Along with Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam, the movie also stars Vartika Singh, Sheeba Chaddha, and Danish Husain in key roles.
