Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been included in Baroda’s 18-men squad for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, beginning across venues from Saturday.
Baroda’s team is led Krunal Pandya in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and they will play their first game against Gujarat at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
“Indian international star Hardik Pandya will join his brother and captain Krunal Pandya for Baroda,” the Baroda Cricket Association said in a press release.
“On behalf of the BCA President and Apex Committee Members, we warmly welcome your (Hardik Pandya) return to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.”
Hardik Pandya need not worry about impressing the IPL scouts after finding a place in Mumbai Indians’ retention l ahead of the auction on November 23 and 24 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.s The all-rounder’s appearance in Baroda’s jersey is more in line with the BCCI’s policy of leading cricketers mandatorily appearing in domestic tournaments. So, his aim will be to keep in touch with the game and possibly help Baroda to a rare title victory.
