‘Saif Ali Khan was a pain, always late to set, didn’t know his lines’: Kunal Kapoor jokes about ‘difficult to work with’ Jewel Thief co-star | Bollywood News

Saif Ali Khan will be seen as a suave thief in the upcoming Netflix he action thriller Jewel Thief. As the promotions of the film are in full swing, its cast — Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta — sat together to talk about their experience working on the film. However, it was Kunal’s humour during the conversation that took over the conversation as he jokingly dismissed Saif for coming late to the set.
During a chat with Filmygyan, while Nikita and Jaideep admitted to having a lot of fun on set, Kunal proclaimed that he was lonely. He said, “Loneliness because I am not with them in the film, I am chasing them so I was alone on the set. These people would enjoy together.”
Nikita Dutta shared that while she, Saif, and Jaideep had each other’s company, Kunal would shoot separately. “I used to clean up, pick cups and all on set,” he joked.

However, Kunal’s jokes reached another level when he took a sarcastic dig at Saif. When asked about his experience of working with Saif, he responded , “He is a pain. It was difficult to work with him. He didn’t turn up on time and when he did, he didn’t know his line and then we had to wait till he learned his lines. Then take after take.” Then the cast joked how since Saif isn’t on social media, he won’t see Kunal’s statement. However, if it gets printed in the newspaper then the actor would definitely read what Kunal said about him.

Jewel Thief is Saif’s return to the screen after he faced the brutal knife attack in January this year. The film is co-produced Siddharth Anand and directed Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal. In an earlier interaction with IANS, Saif spoke about working with Siddharth, who had directed Saif’s Salaam Namaste, again. He said, “Reuniting with Sid Anand has always felt like coming home – he knows how to blend action, style, and storytelling in a way that’s truly special. With Jewel Thief, we’ve pushed the envelope and had a blast doing it”
Saif also lauded Jaideep and said, “Sharing the screen with Jaideep Ahlawat, who brings such depth and unpredictability, made the experience even more exciting. I can’t wait for audiences to join us on this thrilling ride on.”
