‘I laugh at their creativity and memes’: Arshdeep Singh on how he deals with internet trolls | Ipl News

India and Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh said that as time has worn on and he has matured, he has taken the internet trolls and memes aimed at him in his stride, saying that now he just has a good laugh at them and gets entertained instead of getting irritated or annoyed.
“I have had ups and downs in my career. I have seen the highest point as well as the lowest point in a very short span. But I feel very entertained these trolls. I laugh at their creativity and memes. Earlier, I used to save these memes and messages so I could use those later but now I feel they don’t make any sense. However, I still enjoy looking at people’s creativity,” the pacer said in a ‘Kandid with Kings’ episode.
The 26-year-old who took 19 wickets last season has 8 so far for his franchise this time around and is one of the main factors in Punjab sitting in the 4th position in the points table. The pacer, who was bought back the franchise after initially releasing him before the IPL 2025 auctions, has taken 84 wickets for PBKS in 7 seasons and credited them for his professional growth.

“Ever since I came to Punjab Kings, barring the first year, I started feeling seniority in my role. I have been associated with this team for the last seven years and after spending my first year with the team, I started feeling that I have been given a huge responsibility,” he said.
“The elevation in my role and growth came pretty early and hence, I knew that I could not mess up at crucial stages because at those times, not working as per the plan can put the team in serious trouble. Hence, I became serious and started feeling like a senior way too early,” he added.
Arshdeep will next be seen in action when Punjab Kings take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy on Friday.
