The International Cricket Council started the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour 2023 with a bang: launching the trophy into the stratosphere, 1,20,000 feet above the earth.
The iconic World Cup trophy was attached to a bespoke stratospheric balloon and sent out of the world, literally. The trophy then landed at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Trophy will start from Tuesday, which is also the day the schedule for the World Cup will be announced in Mumbai.
Over the next few months, the trophy will travel to 18 countries around the world, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, USA, Nigeria, Uganda, France, Italy, the United States of America and the host country India. (READ MORE)
