‘If I’m in place of Sanju I will be very disappointed’: Irfan Pathan on Samson’s exclusion for IND vs AUS ODI series | Cricket News

India announced a 17-man for the three-match ODI series against Australia preceding the World Cup.
With no major surprises, Sanju Samson, the backup wicket-keeper, who travelled with the Indian team for the Asia Cup was overlooked for the ODI series. The only way possible for the Kerala batter is if any player gets ruled out.
Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan reacted to the omission and stated that had he been in Samson’s place then he would have been bitterly disappointed to miss out on the squad.
“If I’m in place of @IamSanjuSamson right now, I will be very disappointed…,” Pathan wrote on X.
