India secured a narrow seven-run victory over Pakan in the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 on Saturday. Batting first after winning the toss, India posted a total of 183/8, fueled a strong start from their openers.
Pakan’s chase got off to a shaky beginning, but their middle order rallied to keep them in the contest. However, Rasikh Salman’s impressive death bowling proved to be the difference, as he restricted Pakan to 176/7.
While India celebrated the win, there were areas where they could improve, particularly their middle-order batting and their ability to control the run rate in the middle overs. On the other hand, Pakan’s spin bowlers performed well, but their pace bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batsmen in the powerplay and at the death. (HIGHLIGHTS)
