IND vs AUS: Shubman Gill smacks second Test ton against in Ahmedabad Test, India in driving seat

Resuming his innings at 18, Shubman Gill notched up a hundred against Australia just ahead of Tea on the third day of the Ahmedabad Test, his second in the format. At the end of the second session, Gill stood tall at 103 off 197 with India two down at 188, trailing behind 292 runs.
The elegant right hander, who scored his second hundred in the format, would get 11 fours and a six along the way as he got to the triple figure score.
Having survived a couple of close leg before wicket calls off Nathan Lyon early in the morning, one of which was only owing to him stepping down the 3m mark, Gill went on to make the most of his lifelines as he went on to reach the fifty mark off 90 deliveries. This, after India had lost Rohit Sharma early in the day after he was caught at short cover point in attempt of a back foot punch off Matthew Kuhnemann.
Gill then combined alongside Cheteshwar Pujara to add 113 runs for the second wicket stand with the latter scoring 42 off 121 deliveries in another grit displaying knocks on the back of a hard fought fifty in the second innings of the Indore Test.

With Todd Murphy removing Pujara, India would go into the final session of the day with Virat Kohli joining their centurion in the middle.
Earlier on day two, Australia had been bundled out for 480 in their first innings after hundreds from Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green.
