India will aim to match the record for the lowest total successfully defended in T20 World Cup hory against Pakan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Pakan.
After being sent into bat, India were bundled for 119 in 19 overs a sharp Pakani bowling attack. It was India’s lowest T20I score against Pakan and the first time they were bundled out Pakan in 12 T20I matches since 2007.
Across nine editions of the T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka hold the record for the lowest successful defended total. Sri Lanka successfully defended their 119-run target in the 2014 World Cup, bundling the Kiwis for 60.
India have never defended a T20I total under 120. The lowest score defended India in T20Is was 138 against Zimbabwe in 2016. In T20 World Cups, India’s best defense was of a 146-run total against Bangladesh in 2016.
