And then there was one. On the last day of action for the Indian contingent at the Asian Games, we are set for a medal-filled day once again, with plenty of finals to look forward.
Badminton: Chirag-Satwik seek hory
In the hory of Asian Games, no Indian (singles / pair / team) has won gold medal in badminton. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are one win away from changing that, after their sensational performance on Friday.
Archery: Compound climax
India’s compound archers are in line for a clean sweep. Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Ojas Deotale have already won two golds, and could make it three on Saturday. Ojas takes on Abhishek Verma in an-all Indian final guaranteed to bring gold. Aditi Swami could also add to the tally with bronze.

Kabaddi: 2018 redemption?
One of the shocks of 2018 was neither Indian women or men winning gold in kabaddi, but both have now made it to the final in 2023. Women take on Chinese Taipei while the men have a grudge match coming up against Iran.
Cricket: No India-Pakan
For some reason, an India-Pakan Asian final refuses to materialise in 2023. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Co will take on Afghanan for gold.
Women’s hockey bronze medal match
Harmanpreet Singh and Co finished top of the podium but that is not a possibility for Savita Punia’s team after their semifinal heartbreak. Instead they have to now pick themselves for a bronze medal match.
