India at Paris Olympics 2024, Day 10 schedule: Lakshya Sen stands on the cusp of bronze; wrestling begins, Avinash Sable in action | Sport-others News

It is not nearly a packed Monday for India, but all eyes will be on Lakshya Sen to see if he can become the first Indian male shuttler to win an Olympic Games medal. Sunday saw Lakshya fall short against the legendary Viktor Axelsen, despite have a lead to protect in both games. Bouncing back mentally will be the biggest challenge for him.
Wrestlers enter the fray too as we reach the second week of the Games, starting with Nisha Dahiya. Also in action will be serial National Record-breaker Avinash Sable. Monday also marks the last day of shooting at the Games.
BADMINTON
Men’s Singles bronze match:
Hory beckons for Lakshya, still. No Indian male shuttler has ever come this far, but can Lakshya get one step further to stand on the podium? Lee Zii Jia will have other ideas.

SHOOTING
Skeet Mixed Team Qualification: 12.30 pm

This is India’s final shooting event of the Games. Gold/Silver Medal Match will be played between pairs in positions 1 & 2 and the Bronze match between teams in positions 3 & 4. Finals later in the day at 6.30pm .

After fine runs in the singles event, Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula – along with Archana Kamath – begin their team event campaign with a round of 16 clash against Romania.

Track & field action continues and all eyes will be on Avinash Mukund Sable. On the fast purple tracks of Stade de France, can the Indian steeplechaser better the National Record again? Late entrant Kiran is also in action.

SAILING:
Vishnu Saravanan, Nethra Kumanan: 3.45 pm onwards
In races 7 & 8, , Nethra Kumanan finished 21st and 31st respectively. Overall she is placed 25th. Vishnu did better with 7th & 24th in his 2 races, and moved up to 18th. We are now into the last couple of races in sailing before the medal rounds.
