India at Paris Olympics 2024, Day 14 schedule: Aman Sehrawat to fight for wrestling bronze, golf action continues, relay teams in heats | Sport-others News

The finish line is in sight for the Indian contingent in Paris and that means, events start to thin down. But there is still hope for the medal tally to be improved as Aman Sehrawat is one win away from winning the bronze medal in men’s 57kg wrestling. The boy from Chhatrasal got to Paris in place of Ravi Dahiya, and now he will have to step up to make sure India’s run of winning a wrestling medal since 2008 doesn’t end in Paris.

ATHLETICSMen’s & Women’s 4x400m Relay Heats: 2.10 pm onwards
Indian athletics followers tend to always get excited when 4x400m relays come around the corner. The men’s team, especially, come into Paris 2024 with a reputation to uphold after their Worlds performances last year.
GOLFWomen’s Individual Round 3: 12.30 pmAditi Ashok, Diksha Dagar
Aditi Ashok finished Round 2 with a 1-under par overall, recovering after a poor start with a series of birdies. Diksha Dagar is also 1-under Par overall. The top three however started to pull away so both Indians need extraordinary rounds to put themselves in contention.

After Ravi Dahiya’s silver in Tokyo, Aman has a shot to win a medal in the same category in Paris as well. He had two impressive tech wins to reach the semis but was outplayed Higuchi in the semifinal. But all is not lost yet.

Athletics: 11pmWomen’s 4x100m Relay FinalWith 41.94, USA had the fastest time in qualifying and the 2023 world champions will want to win this. Defending Olympic champions Jamaica qualified fifth-fastest with their season-best of 42.35. It should be interesting finish.

Hockey: 11.30pmWomen’s Gold medal matchAlyson Annan, China’s coach, was a legendary player for Australia before going on to coach Netherlands. After knocking Australia out, she now faces a former side again but the Dutch start favourites.
