India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey praised Virat Kohli’s “lovely set up” to dismiss the Netherlands skipper Scott Netherlands on Sunday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
“It was a nice set up. It was lovely to see Virat’s wicket. I could see him adjusting the fine leg a little bit, looked at KL (Rahul) saying where he is going to bowl. It was a lovely set up,” Mhambrey told BCCI.TV in an interview.

Edwards has joined the illustrious names like Brendon McCullum, Quinton de Kock, Alastair Cook and Craig Kieswetter, who Virat has dismissed in the ODIs.
“I had a chat with Rohit on how could we use Virat. With the new ball, he swings the ball and gives us that little bit in the powerplay.

“The bigger challenge with Virat was the middle phase, which he has done in this game. he ticked that box as well.
“Now we are going to push him for the death, let’s see when that happens, but I am sure he does have that really nipping, sharp yorkers for the right-handed batters. I think we will see little bit of that as well,” said Mhambrey.
This was the first time Kohli has taken an international wicket after a match against he West Indies at the 2016 T20 WC.
Not only Kohli, Rohit Sharma too add his name to the wicket-takers l. He dismissed Teja Nidamanuru, Netherlands’ top scorer on the night. India used nine bowlers in the defence of 410 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and the captain picked up the last wicket to fall.

This was the first time he bowled in an ODI since 2016. Rohit picked up his 12th international wicket and ninth in ODIs. He has picked up some big names in the past, including the likes of Michael Clarke, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle.
“It’s been two years since I have been after Rohit about this to get Surya bowl in the match. Shubman is really building up nicely. Both of them are still work in progress.
“And finally captain bowled himself, rolled his arm over. I could see the glimpse of Virat, Shubman bowling in the side nets, finally happy to see that in the match,” he said.
