India vs Australia: Rinku Singh reveals the secrets behind the 100 metres long six | Cricket News

Rinku Singh said lifting heavy weights in the gym was the secrets behind his 100 metres long six in the fourth T20I against Australia in Raipur on Friday.
“Aapko pata hi hai aapke saath gym his karta hun (You know it, I train with you in the gym),” Rinku told Jitesh Sharma in a video posted the BCCI.tv.
“I eat good food and I like lifting weights in the gym and it helps me generate the power,” said Rinku.
Rinku Singh blazed away to a 29-ball 46 and put on a valuable 56-run stand for the fifth with Jitesh Sharma.

If Rinku was the dominating partner in that stand of 48 off 31, in his next stand with Jitesh Sharma – another potential candidate for the finisher’s role — he played the perfect second fiddle. In fact, it was this 56-run stand which came off just 32 deliveries that totally changed the tide in favour of India.
Like Rinku, Jitesh is equally daring and can play shots from the word go as he showed here, scoring two sixes off the first six balls he faced.

Jitesh Sharma, who smashed 35 in 19 balls said he was bit nervous in the middle as he was playing his first match in India.
“I played my last match in China during the Asian games and it was against Afghanan. It felt good to play in India and that too in front of such a big crowd. The best thing about today was my partnership with you,” said Jitesh.
“I was under pressure but you looked pretty calm. I would like to thank you for keeping me calm as well. You kept telling me that we need to stick around and build a partnership,” he said.
Rinku, who has been in scintillating form, since making his international debut credited IPL for staying cool and composed in the middle.
“I have been playing in the IPl for five and six years. I try to keep myself calm,” said Rinku.
During the three outing in this series, Rinku has scored 31 off nine balls, 22 off 14, and a 29-ball 46. He didn’t get the chance to bat in the third match, where Maxwell’s blering century helped Australia beat India five wickets.
The final match of the series will be played on Sunday in Bengaluru.
