‘Remind me when I was dismissed him’: Steve Smith hits back at claim of him being ‘terrorised’ Jofra Archer

Australia batter Steve Smith on Tuesday hit back at a tweet that claimed that he was terrorised England pacman Jofra Archer in the 2019 Ashes.
After developing yet another elbow issue, the England fast bowler, who claimed 22 Australian wickets at 20 in his first Test series four years ago, was recently declared out for the summer.
After Archer’s absence was confirmed, a British publication stated that the pacer ‘terrorised Australia’s batsmen four years ago.’
To which, the Australia International wrote, “Terrorised? remind me when I was dismissed him….”

Although Archer never dismissed Smith, they did engage in several heated clashes. In one such incident, Smith suffered a concussion after being struck on the head a steaming bouncer from Archer during the second Test of the series at Lord’s.
Marnus Labuschagne was substituted in that game as the first concussion substitution in Test cricket hory, beginning a fantastic run of form for him in the longest format.
At Headingley, in Smith’s absence, Archer bowled his most destructive performance (6-45) and picked up another six wickets at the Oval. England triumphed to tie the series 2-2, with Smith the only Australian to reach the fifty-run mark in the innings.

Meanwhile, Smith has been preparing for the upcoming Ashes series with a stint as Sussex’s overseas player.
