National Tribal Literature Feast To begin Tomorrow

National Tribal Literature Festival will be organised from April 19th to 21st.It would have an art and painting competition and a literature and tribal dance festival.Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the event on April 19th.

Raipur: A three-day National Tribal Literature Festival will be organized here from April 19th to 21 at the Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium. It would have an art and painting competition and literature and tribal dance festival said Chhattisgarh Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Development Miner Dr Premsai Singh Tekam on Sunday.

While discussing with the media said that this event will be organized to introduce the traditional and contemporary literature across the country and to know the status of their development in the modern context as well as to promote tribal literature in the state of Chhattisgarh. On the second day, April 20th, 12 papers will be presented on gender-related issues in tribal literature, socio-cultural conflict in tribal literature, and its challenges and possibilities. On the third day, April 21st 5 research papers on tribal freedom fighters (their struggle, role and contribution) will be presented.

Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the event on April 19th and the chief guest on the final will be Governor Anusuiya Uikey while Renuka Singh, the Union Miner of State for Tribal Affairs, will preside over, he told the media. He said writers, professors, researchers and subject specials from Jharkhand, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh and other states will take part in the event.

A book fair based on tribal themes is also being organized at the festival. Along with Sanjeevani, Forest Produce and Van Aushadhi stalls, exhibition of tribal painting, Gadhkaleva, Bastariha cuisine, exhibition of Tribal Research and Training Institute, exhibition of departmental schemes of Antyavasayee Corporation, stalls of TRIFED etc. will be set up the Forest Department.
