India vs West Indies: Arundhati Reddy, Shafali Verma not named in ODI, T20I squads; Nandini Kashyap among new call-ups | Cricket News
In a 0-3 series drubbing in Australia, India had very positive takeaways. But one of the brighter performances came from Arundhati Reddy, who played just in the third ODI in Perth and ran through a strong Australian batting order with four wickets in one spell. However, the pacer has now been left out of both the T20I and ODI squads named to take on West Indies in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara, respectively.
In a press release issued the BCCI on Wednesday, Arundhati’s name is a notable miss as she is not led among the players missing due to injury. The statement mentioned only Yastika Bhatia, Shreyanka Patil and Priya Punia as being unavailable for selection. Also absent from both squads is Shafali Verma, who seems to have fallen out of favour in T20Is too after being dropped for the ODI series in Australia.
On the flip side, there were three fresh call-ups: Nandini Kashyap, Raghvi B in the T20I squad and Pratika Rawal for ODIs.
