Indian dad wears borrowed suit for first-ever flight, son’s emotional post moves internet

An Indore-based founder has shared a moving post on his father taking a flight for the first time, saying that the entire point of life is giving back to parents who have spent their whole life working for their children. Ojha noted that his father had never bought a suit in his life. Even pants and shirts were reserved for special occasions.“He has lived most of his years in simple pants and shirts…and even those, for him, are reserved for occasions,” he said of his father.However, to board his first-ever flight, Ojha’s father wore a suit from his son’s wardrobe.“He surprised me in a way I hadn’t prepared for. He didn’t just show up. He showed up in a crisp suit. The suit he had pulled out from my wardrobe. The one I had worn in 2023, right after my wedding. It fit him perfectly,” said the founder of Hybrid Internet.Seeing his father suited up made Ojha realise something special — “I looked at him and realised it wasn’t just his first flight. It was him stepping into a world he had spent his whole life making possible for me,” he wrote.Over the next couple of days, the father kept making calls back to people in his hometown to describe every little detail of the flight, including how the plane takes off and how the food is served.For Ojha, his father’s first flight marked a poignant moment. Sharing a picture of his father on the tarmac, he wrote: “Is picture ko dekh ke aksar yaad kiya karunga ki yahi toh sara point hai life ka (I will often look at this picture and remember that this is the whole point of life),” he said.Internet moved postThe post has been going viral on LinkedIn, receiving a lot of love and appreciation.“This is deeply moving.
