The wicket keeper batter had to retire hurt in the match. He was batting on 31 before he had to go back. Rajasthan failed to chase down nine runs from last over against Mitchell Starc and managed only eight as the match went to a Super Over, where DC came out as victors.
The same luck followed Rajasthan in the match against LSG where they failed to chase nine off the last six balls, yet again. It was Avesh Khan who saved nine off the last over where in both cases, Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer were at the receiving end.
“The Rajasthan Royals captain is currently undergoing recovery and will remain at the team’s home base in Jaipur with select RR medical staff. He hasn’t been included in the squad for RCB due to his ongoing rehab process,” said Rajasthan.
“The team management is monitoring his progress closely and will take a game–game approach regarding his return to action,” the release added.Story continues below this ad
