IPL 2023 play-off scenarios: With top-four race intensifying, a loss on Tuesday could affect the chances of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) to secure the play-off berth in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL).
With two games each left in their hands, both LSG and MI have equal chances of qualifying for the next round.
Mumbai Indians are third on the points table with 14 points and with a point less from same the number of games, LSG are holding on to the fourth spot. Both teams will be looking to get out of the danger zone as eight teams remain in the play-off contention.

With four wins in their last five games, Mumbai Indians have come into their own. Wins in their last two matches will guarantee them a top-two finish. If they lose one and finish on 16 then they will be depending on other results to qualify. They will face Lucknow on Tuesday and Sunrisers Hyderabad at home on Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai being Mumbai started off slowly losing two matches. Coming back into form, MI won the next three games but lost track again losing two. Now they are back in form, winning four of their last five matches.
